is one of the most beautiful swimming pools in Scandinavia. It is
partially indoors, so when the weather is bad one can swim inside.
Other facilities include a thermal steam bath, sauna, sun lamps, hot
pots, Jacuzzi, water slides and various apparatus for kids. In the
vicinity are lovely walking paths, for example, in Heidmörk with its
impressive lava formations, lush vegetation and interesting bird life.
A short distance from the pool is Ellidavatn lake where it's possible
to go trout fishing. Just 15 minutes by foot is Arbaer Outdoor Museum
where old houses and artefacts are displayed. A short distance from the
pool is Elliðárdalur Valley, with its interesting walking and jogging
paths meandering through a tranquilly beautiful environment. One of the
country’s best salmon rivers runs through the valley. Arbaejarlaug is
ideal for families with children, and anyone interested in combining
interesting walks with refreshing bathing.
